STEP 1: EXFOLIATION
Exfoliating is key when it comes to skincare and in this case…to get a glowing body. To “exfoliate” simply means to remove dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. This could be done using an exfoliant.
Types of Exfoliants
· Physical/Mechanical Exfoliants:
1. Salt or Sugar scrubs
2. Micro-bead exfoliants
3. Brushes or Sponges,
· Chemical Exfoliants

STEP 2: MOISTURIZER
Now you’re done with the first step of exfoliating and the skin is now clean, next is to moisturize to help prevent dryness, hydrates and soothes the skin.
When going in with a moisturizer, it is best advised to use a moisturizer suitable for your skin type.
· For a dry skin: Use a rich and hydrating moisturizers
· For an oily skin: Use lightweight moisturizers
· For a sensitive skin: Best to get a recommended moisturizer from your dermatologist.
If you do not know your skin type you can do a
La Roche-Posay’s Skin Type Test
Step 1: Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and pat dry
Step 2: Wait for 30 minutes to an hour without applying any product
Step 3: Take a clean tissue and gently press it against your forehead, nose and chin
If the tissue is covered in oil, you have an oily skin.
If the tissue is slightly oily in the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) but clean on the cheeks, you have combination skin.
If the tissue is clean with no oil, you have dry or normal skin.
Once you’ve known your skin type, the next thing to do is to find products that work for your particular skin type and layer the products correctly.
STEP 3: BODY OIL
The very last step in this routine is applying a good body oil. This will help to lock in the moisture, soften skin and give the skin a radiant glow. You can either get a good body oil from the store or you could get a good carrier oil such as: coconut oil, Olive oil, Jojoba oil, Argan oil, Sweet Almond oil or Avocado oil.
