If you are looking to get softer lips then you need to start using lip oils as they are definitely the real deal changer and the best part is that the ingredients are easy to get from stores nearby. I like to use them at nights to bed so I can wake up with properly hydrated and soft lips.
This post covers the step-by-step tutorial to make your own DIY lip oil and it can last up to a year once properly preserved.

STEP 3: If you are using food coloring, add into the mixture and mix it all well
STEP 4: Pour in your mixtures into your lip oil containers for storage.
TO PERSONALISE
Personalizing your lip gloss is optional however here are a few ways to customize your lip oil to your taste:
1. GLITTER: You can add ¼ teaspoon of shimmer powder or glitter
2. COLORING: Personalize your lip oil by giving it any color of choice with food coloring or any of the powders below:
· Red: Beetroot powder
· Orange: Ground Paprika
· Brown: Cocoa Powder
· Pink: Hibiscus powder
3. FRUITY OIL: To give your lip oil a fruity touch, you can add flavored extracts (strawberry, grape, orange e.t.c).
4. ESSENTIAL OIL: You can choose to add in certain essential oils (e.g lavender oil) and only add in a few drops
PRECAUTIONS
As easy and fun as this might be to make, it is important to bear certain things in mind.
· Ensure that the food coloring and essential oil that you are using is safe for the lip to avoid any irritation
· If you experience irritation, discontinue immediately
· If you are using essential oil or food coloring, be sure it is safe for consumption so that even if you subconsciously lick your lips, it won’t affect you.
· Ensure that your mixture is completely cooled before applying.
TIPS
· Use often to achieve the best results.
· Store lip oil in a cool, dry place.
· Perform a patch test before using.
